Visiting the Library

Local schools, nurseries, cub, brownies, beavers and rainbows are all welcome to visit the library. Please contact us to make a booking.

We hold a range of friendly and informal events, such as talks, readings, author visits and demonstrations.

If you would like to give a talk, make an author visit, or hold a workshop, then please contact us.

 

Onchan Book Group

Our book group meets on the first Thursday of each month. All book lovers welcome, and refreshments are served.


Craft & Chat

We have a monthly Craft Club for adults meeting at the library on the second Thursday of each month 6-7 p.m. Bring along your current art or craft project - whatever it is. meet up with other craft lovers, learn new skills, or find inspiration. The library holds a briliiant range of arts and crafts titles too. No charge, and refreshments are served.


Library Art & Displays

The library is also a space for creative or informative displays for the local community. If you, or your organisation, are interested in using the library for a display, please contact us.

The library borrows prints from the IOM Arts Council Loans Collection. Several works of art have also been donated by the local community over the years. A painting of St Peters Church, Onchan, is now included in The Public Catalogue Foundation, a collection of oil paintings in public ownership in the UK.
